2005 Forum - "BOSS Envisioning..."
The 2005 Army-wide BOSS Forum is planned by the Soldier for the Soldier at an annual BOSS focus group held in the spring. The basis for conducting annual conferences is to train Soldiers on the operation of the BOSS program and to network and share ideas. Soldiers serve approximately one year as BOSS representatives. Senior noncommissioned officers and Morale, Welfare and Recreation program advisors are also trained on their roles and responsibilities for the BOSS program, as they are the continuity of the program.
2005 Forum
The 2005 Army-wide BOSS Forum (“BOSS Envisioning the Future Through Your Actions Today) was held 11-16 September 05 at the National Conference Center at Lansdowne, Lansdowne, Virginia. Amongst the many winners in various categories, SPC Max Levasseur, Fort Myer, Virginia was voted BOSS President of the Year, Ms. Deniece Thomas, Schofield Barracks, HI was awarded the Felteus Edwards Award for MWR Excellence to the BOSS Program (MWR Advisor Award) Award, The Fort Richardson, Fort Lewis, WA, Hawaii, Camp Zama, Japan, and Torri Station, Okinawa, Japan BOSS Program were awarded The Presidents Volunteer Service Awards.
